Escaping bandits robbed two men Monday, November 28th 2005 |
|
Four bandits, who had robbed a Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice family early Saturday evening, also attacked Taron Persaud, 38, a labourer and Chandia Gobin, 37, a cane harvester while they were escaping from the scene of the first robbery. A release from the police said that the men attacked the two and took away from Gobin a wallet containing $5 EC dollars and his National Identification Card and also his bicycle valued at $10,000. At around 9 pm on the same night a police patrol in the area stopped and searched two men walking along the public road. On one of them the stolen wallet with the money and ID card was found and on the other, a pair of tights cut into a mask was found. They were both arrested. |
