Prince Edward to arrive October 22
His Royal Highness, Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex will be in Guyana on October 22 as part of a Caribbean visit involving four other countries.
The Prince, who is expected to be in Barbados to attend the International Youth Forum, scheduled to be held next week, will arrive here to participate in the presentation of the Presidential Youth Award.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport Gail Teixeira will represent the country at the Barbados forum and will co-ordinate the Prince’s visit, Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr Roger Luncheon told reporters at his weekly press briefing yesterday.
Teixeira will hold a press briefing to set out the itinerary of activities planned as part of the trip.
