Woman accused of panties theft on bail

 

TV monitor theft accused on $40,000 bail

Three men who allegedly stole a television monitor from a store were yesterday placed on $40,000 each by Magistrate Krisendat Persaud at the New Amsterdam Magistrate's court.

David Singh, Dora Singh and Orin Singh all pleaded not guilty to the simple larceny charge.

It is alleged that on May 17, the three men went into Hasrat General Store located at Pitt Street in New Amsterdam Berbice and stole one Digittronic television monitor valued at $38,000. One of the men was allegedly caught on tape by the owner of the store. The matter was reported to the police and they were arrested and charged.

They will return to court on June 13.

 

 

Woman accused of panties theft on bail
TWENTY-YEAR-OLD Nichola Bland, of Lichfield, West Coast Berbice, was granted $5,000 bail on a simple larceny charge yesterday.

She appeared before Magistrate Kim Kyte at Reliance Court, Canje, where the March 22 allegation against her said she stole 10 panties and two blouses valued $3,4000 from the business place of Hazrat Ali, on Pitt Street, New Amsterdam, in Berbice.

The defendant is to make her next appearance at New Amsterdam Court on April 11.
